System flow

XINTEC offers two components running at the operator’s side as stand-alone products. One covers the role of the operator as VPMN the other the role as data receiver, and therefore as HPMN. Each of the components has two versions and can be selected according to the needs of the operator (Simple and Full version of each component).

VPMN Role

The system receives the in-house format; these files are filtered and only the roaming data is processed in case the data is not pre-filtered. A high-speed CDR buffering process driven by an independent database engine is used to store the records temporarily. The TAP Generator is then in charge of grouping the call records by roaming partner and creating the TAP Files. The File Dispatcher gathers all waiting files and sends them to the selected destination.

HPMN Role

The TAP files received from the DCH are converted directly into the in-house format and fed into the normal stream.

VPMN Role

A process of rating will run on the buffered records to put the price to the stored calls according to the tariffs. The TAP Generator is then in charge of grouping the call records by roaming partner and creating the TAP Files. The File Dispatcher gathers all waiting files and sends them to the selected destination.

HPMN Role

The TAP files received from the DCH are converted directly into the in-house format and fed into the normal stream.

System flow

XINTEC offers a hosted TAP Creation solution running on XINTEC’s servers. The VPMN or HPMN will send the in-house or TAP files first to our servers, where the conversion to in-house or TAP format will be done automatically. Then the retrieving of the converted files can be done by a PULL or PUSH method, that is, downloading them from XINTEC’s servers or uploading them to the customer’s servers. Later the files continue with their normal process.

A VPN connection with XINTEC’s servers needs to be established, after which the files to be converted can be uploaded or downloaded as the case may be. If desired, XINTEC can send the newly converted files, when available, directly to the operator.
